How did this song come to be?
Contemplating how to celebrate Mother's Day when, for my family, there is not going to be a gathering, I thought I needed to come up with a Happy Mother's Day Song. After relaxing with the dog, the words popped in my head, recorded them, then keyed out the music on the piano. Then jotted down rough sheet music. Then practiced and recorded. Then I played The Happy Mother's Day Song and sung to my Mom over the phone.
